In addition to this document, each party responsible for the use of the Information System also required its own internal procedures and processes to support the use of the systems described in this document. The procedures and processes that underpin these transfer mechanisms are the sole responsibility of the party liable for the provision of information, and are not discussed within this document.

2009 Information System review
The document included provision for an annual review.
In September 2009, the ElectricityCommission published a consultation on a number of minor changes to the Information System Definition document.
A new Information System Definition applies to information transfered under the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010.
