Operational disclosure regime for risk management contracts

The obligations on market participants to disclose risk management contract information are set out in Part 13 of the Code. Risk management contracts that meet the requirements as set out in the Code will need to be disclosed.

Disclosed information can be viewed for free at electricitycontract.co.nz. Note that you do not need to log on to view the information.

Participants must disclose the required information using the electricitycontract.co.nz website. Participants will need a log-on to upload information. Also available on this site is a template for bulk uploading multiple hedge contracts and a simple user guide for the bulk contract upload template.

Associated downloads

• An annual lists of nodes along with their associated grid zones and location factors
• A form for the annual certification by each participant of disclosed information. Certification is required by 30 June each year for the previous year ended 31 March.

Guidance

Several documents were published by the Electicity Commission to help participants to understand and comply with their disclosure obligations.
