Certified reconciliation participant audits
Reconciliation participants that may require this certification include:
- Retailers
- Persons who purchase or sell electricity to or from the clearing manager
- Generators (including embedded generators)
- Network owners (including embedded networks)
- Grid owners
In order to obtain certification, reconciliation participants must undergo an annual Code audit. The purpose of the audit is to ensure compliance with the Code and integrity of participant processes, to ensure that volumes allocated to purchasers and generators are correct within the reconciliation process.
Audits must be carried out by Authority approved auditors.
Reconciliation participants with 10 or fewer ICPs can apply to have their registry function services managed by the Authority. An information paper about this service, and the application form, are available below.
Details on how to submit a retail audit can be found on the Retail audits & auditing page.
