Joint Authority and System Operator Development Programme
Clause 7.7 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (Code) requires the Electricity Authority (Authority) and the System Operator (SO) to agree and publish a Joint Development Programme. This Programme coordinates and prioritises items on the Authority’s industry development work plan that involve the SO’s input, and the items on the SO’s capital expenditure programme that are of significant industry interest or could impact upon delivery of important industry initiatives.
A Joint Work Planning Team has been established by the Authority and SO to agree, maintain, and communicate a work plan that reflects industry development needs and priorities, while taking account of both the Authority’s and SO’s individual business needs.
The Joint Work Planning Team has completed a significant process of identifying items relevant to both parties and/or of significant industry interest and prioritising and planning implementation of those items. The agreed Programme is available at:
Although the requirement is to update the programme annually, the Authority and SO recognise that the programme delivery items and timeframes are likely to change significantly during the term of the plan. Accordingly, the programme will be updated at least quarterly to keep interested parties up to date with project progress and planned commissioning dates.
The Authority and SO are pleased to discuss the content of the plan. Please email [javascript protected email address] in the first instance.
