Investment Advisory Group (disestablished)
The Investment Advisory Group (IAG) provided advice to the Authority (as and when requested by the Authority) on opportunities for investment in generation, transmission and transmission alternatives, including grid planning assumptions and the consideration of Code.
In 2010 the Authority carried out a general review of its advisory groups. This led to the Authority's decision to establish three new standing advisory groups - the Retail Advisory Group, the Transmission Advisory Group, and the Wholesale Advisory Group. Consequently, the Investment Advisory Group was disestablished.
The members of the Investment Advisory Group were:
- Bill Heaps (Chair)
- Richard Pearce (Genesis)
- Ray Brown (Meridian)
- Peter Calderwood (Trustpower)
- Duncan Head (Vector)
- Glen Coates (Orion)
- Stephen Lewis (Independent)
- Michael Whaley (Powerco)
- Graeme Ancell (Transpower)
- Ray Deacon (New Zealand Aluminium Services)
- Fraser Clark (New Zealand Wind Energy Association)
Prior to 31 October 2010 the IAG was administered by the Electricity Commission.
