Lower South Island Reliability Transmission Investment Proposal
On 31 May 2010, Transpower New Zealand Limited (Transpower) submitted to the Electricity Commission an investment proposal for approval under rule 13 of section III of part F of the Electricity Governance Rules 2003.
The investment proposal was submitted as a reliability investment to increasi the core grid capacity between Roxburgh and Invercargill, and maintaining non-core grid security of supply to Gore and the surrounding region.
The Commission is providing designated transmission customers and parties affected by the Proposal with an opportunity to:
- provide written comments on the Lower South Island Reliability Transmission Investment Proposal; and
- request that the Commission consider alternatives to the Lower South Island Reliability Transmission Investment Proposal.
To assist the Commission in its consideration, please supply evidence of facts and analysis to support your views wherever possible.
Comments and/or requests must be received by the Commission by 5.00pm on 30 June 2010.
