Communications Manager

Fixed term – Parental leave cover

The Electricity Authority has an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior level communications specialist to contribute across an organisation that is leading significant development in the New Zealand electricity market. You will be leading a great team of people in an open and informal environment where work is delivered to a high standard in a complex and evolving industry.

To succeed in this role you will be an effective operator at both strategic and operational levels. Additionally you will facilitate the management and delivery of information to both internal and external stakeholders and management of information systems and provide PR support.

You will facilitate the development of relationships and interactions with external parties, develop, maintain and promote the Authority brand, and have responsibility for the website and intranet as key communication tools.

Proven experience in a senior communications role, with experience in working with Chief Executive and senior management teams in a high-risk environment, is essential. You will also have experience of leading and managing a team. An understanding of Information Management would be advantageous.
