Seeking nominations for three MDAG members
We are calling for nominations for three MDAG Members. The term of new members will start on 1 October 2020. An Advisory Group member term is for three years.
The purpose of the MDAG is to provide independent advice to the Authority on matters relating to the evolution of the ‘machinery’ of the electricity market in New Zealand.
MDAG is currently progressing two important projects on the Authority’s work programme:
- MDAG is about to present its recommendations on actions the Authority should take to enable new generating technologies in the wholesale market. This is a critical area of work for the sector, consistent with the increasing level of renewable generation that is being built, and the drive to greater electrification (eg, of transport) to reduce carbon emissions.
- MDAG is also in the process of developing its proposal to ensure the wholesale electricity spot market trading conduct provisions are effective in promoting outcomes and pricing consistent with what would occur in a workably competitive market.
To apply, please fill out the below nomination form and with your attached CV please send these to MDAG@ea.govt.nz
Nominations close at 5 pm on Tuesday, 30 June 2020.
