If a person requests information be provided under subclause (1) in a manner or format that differs from the manner or format the retailer typically uses to provide such information, then the retailer may impose a reasonable charge for providing the information in the manner or format requested. It the requesting party refuses to pay a reasonable charge for providing the information in a different format, then the retailer must supply the information requested in the format the retailer typically uses to provide such information.
The retailer would have to supply the information to the consumer no later than 5 business days after agreement on the format has been reached.
The words ‘retail tariff plan’ have their ordinary meaning ie, tariff plans made available by retailers.
