Removing constrained on payments for generation ramping down
26 Mar – 30 Apr 2019
This consultation paper proposes amending the Code by inserting a new clause in Part 13 of the Code to stop constrained on payments to ramp-constrained generators when they are dispatched down at their maximum ramp rate. They would instead be paid the nodal price. In all other respects constrained on payments would not change.
This is a five week consultation and will close at 5pm on Tuesday, 30 April 2019.
Given the technical nature of the proposal, we would like to hear from interested parties on whether they see value in a workshop or webinar to explain the proposal. Please let us know by 5pm on Tuesday 2 April 2019 by emailing the Authority at firstname.lastname@example.org with “Constrained on payments – Possible workshop” in the subject line.
