This amendment to the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (Code) is made under section 38 of the Electricity Industry Act 2010 (Act) by the Electricity Authority having complied with section 39 of that Act.

Amendment

1. Title

   This is the Electricity Industry Participation Code (Provision of Information to System Operator) (No 2) Amendment 2025.

   This amendment comes into force on 1 December 2025.

   
   

3. Code amended

   This amendment amends the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010.

   
   

4. Clause 9.18 amended (Provision of information)

1. In clause 9.18(1),—

   1. in paragraph (e), replace “; and” with “; and”; and

      (f)

      the system operator’s implementation of and compliance with the security of supply forecasting and information policy or emergency management policy.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the amendment but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This amendment to the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (Code) comes into force on 1 December 2025.

The amendment amends clause 9.18 of the Code to enable the system operator to require

participants to provide information to the system operator that is relevant to the system operator’s implementation of and compliance with the security of supply forecasting and information policy or emergency management policy.

The amendment makes permanent changes to the Code previously made urgently by the Electricity Industry Participation Code (Provision of Information to System Operator) Amendment 2025 which would otherwise expire nine months after the date on which that amendment came into force.
