About the indicators
The purpose of the FSR indicators is to monitor how and when changes to the opportunities and challenges to future security and resilience of the power system may materialise. We will use the indicators to inform our prioritisation of FSR activities, so we can address the challenges and capture the opportunities.
- The Future Security and Resilience (FSR) work programme will help ensure New Zealand’s power system to remain stable, secure and resilient as it evolves over coming decades.
- We will use the future, security and resilience indicators to monitor changes to the opportunities and challenges to future security and resilience of the power system, as they may materialise.
- We intend to develop the indicators over time, as our understanding of the issues develops, and as different data sources become available.
