System operator’s ancillary service procurement plan unchanged

  • Policy

The system operator’s existing procurement plan for ancillary service will remain in force following a review.

Clause 8.42A(1) of the Electricity industry Participation Code 2010 requires that the system operator conduct a full review of the ancillary services procurement plan at least once every two years.

The system operator has not proposed any amendments after reviewing its existing procurement plan.

We agree with the system operator’s assessment and their reasons for proposing not to amend the procurement plan. The current procurement plan will remain in force until the system operator conducts its next periodic review.
