Real-time pricing milestone for the electricity sector

  • Wholesale
  • Prices

This week we celebrate the final phase of the real-time pricing project when dispatch notification and dispatchable demand enhancements go live. From Thursday 27 April, participants will be able to bid and offer their demand flexibility and distributed energy resources into the wholesale market with more certainty.

Dispatchable demand will suit larger consumers or participants who are currently ancillary service agents in the instantaneous reserves market.

Dispatch notification is designed for aggregated or small-scale flexible demand and generation operators wanting to receive more certainty that they are realising the value of their resource.
