Communications workshop: Official conservation campaign and rolling outages
- Distribution
- Retail
As part of preparing for security of supply events, the Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko and Transpower are hosting a 1-day workshop on Thursday 27 February 2025 dedicated to communications planning.
The purpose of the day is to ensure we all have a clear understanding of communication roles and responsibilities – and commitment to effective consumer engagement – in the event of a future official conservation campaign and rolling outages.
Communications and customer services staff from lines companies and retailers are invited to this in-person workshop in Wellington to understand:
- what happens during an Official Conservation Campaign, roles and responsibilities, and how you can support it
- what happens when rolling outages are needed and what is required of you
- how we can work together to ensure New Zealanders are well informed
- how to meet the Consumer Care Obligations
- the Customer Compensation Scheme and what is required of you.
We invite suggestions to add to this agenda and will then confirm our agenda for the day, venue, and other details in the New Year.
Note: there is a two-person per organisation attendance limit for this event.
Please confirm your interest and any agenda items to communications@transpower.co.nz
