Deadline extended for nominations to standardised demand flexibility product co-design group
- Corporate
- Strategy
We have extended the closing date for nominations for members of a voluntary technical group to co-design a standardised demand flexibility product.
Nominations are now due by 5pm, 15 December 2025. To make a nomination, please complete and return the nomination form to OperationsConsult@ea.govt.nz.
We seek to appoint a group that includes a broad range of perspectives on demand flexibility (both buyers and sellers), reflecting the diverse forms of demand flexibility that could be used in the wholesale electricity market. This includes direct connects and industrials as potential sellers.
The later nomination deadline means this group of representatives will work with us to develop the product from January to June 2026. Any product implementation would start later in 2026.
