Register now: reactive power and voltage coordination workshop
- Distribution
- Transmission
Join the Electricity Authority in-person or online on Wednesday 8 October for a technical workshop on managing reactive power flows and voltage coordination across grid exit points (GXPs).
This session is for technical specialists involved in transmission and distribution network operations and planning. It is an opportunity to collaborate on technical challenges and discuss how we could improve voltage quality and coordination between New Zealand’s transmission and distribution networks.
This workshop is a key part of our Review of common quality requirements in Part 8 of the Code project. This project sits under the Electricity Authority’s Future Security & Resilience work programme, which seeks to ensure that our power system remains secure and resilient as the economy electrifies and the generation mix changes.
This workshop is also relevant to our Future System Operation project, which is considering how the operation of the power system needs to evolve to support an increasingly complex system.
