The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko (Authority) has appointed three members to the Security and Reliability Council.

The Security and Reliability Council provides independent advice to the Authority on reliability of electricity supply issues and the performance of the electricity system and System Operator.

Following a call for nominations and candidate assessment, the Authority has re-appointed Allan Miller (Director, Allan Miller Consulting and Co-founder and Director, ANSA®) and appointed two new members:

  • Mary Ollivier - Deputy Judicial Conduct Commissioner, Office of the Judicial Conduct Commissioner
  • Tim Boyce - Head of Wholesale Markets, Contact Energy

These appointments are for three-year terms, effective from 1 April 2026.

The Authority welcomes these members and looks forward to the expertise and insight they will bring to the Council, as they support the ongoing reliability and security of New Zealand’s electricity system.
