In July 2025, we sought feedback on the drafting of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 to ensure it accurately reflects decisions in the 'Distribution connection pricing Code amendment' decision paper.

Thank you to those who shared their feedback. We are now considering the submissions, published below, and expect Code amendments to be finalised in September.

The Code amendments include the fast-track measures we are progressing to improve pricing methodologies for connecting to the network. The four pricing methodology requirements are:

  • connection enhancement cost allocation
  • capacity costing
  • pioneer scheme
  • connection charge reconciliation.

The new requirements are also supported by a dispute resolution process.
