Levy-funded appropriations 2021/22
Each year we consult on our levy-funded appropriations for the upcoming financial year.
Overview
We consulted on our 2021/22 levy-funded appropriations in which we sought an increase to our baseline funding.
An in-principle total expense transfer of $2.2 million from 2019/20 to 2020/21 was approved and confirmed at the October 2020 baseline update. This funding enables us to meet our refreshed strategic ambitions, meet operating expenses, and meet obligations for our long-term market operation service provider contracts.
The Minister of Energy and Resources agreed to submit the proposed appropriations for Budget 2021.
The New Zealand Gazette published the annual levy rates for 2021/22 on 18 June 2021.
