Authority to begin competitive MOSP procurement process in June

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko plans to start a competitive procurement process for five Market Operation Service Provider (MOSP) services. Existing MOSP contracts finish on 30 June 2027.
The Authority contracts a set of MOSPs to deliver services that support the efficient functioning of New Zealand’s wholesale electricity market. These services are critical for market integrity, settlement accuracy, and transparency.
The procurement of the next MOSP contracts provides a significant opportunity for one or more suppliers to play a vital role in the efficient operation of New Zealand’s wholesale electricity market. High-quality delivery of these critical services will deliver positive outcomes for all New Zealanders.
More information can be found on the New Zealand Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS).
Interested parties must register and subscribe to the GETS notice to access procurement documentation and receive updates. The Authority cannot engage outside the GETS process.
