About the Advisory Group
Established in June 2024, the Electricity Authority Advisory Group (EAAG) plays a vital role in providing formal advice to the Electricity Authority and serves as a key platform for stakeholder engagement. It ensures a broad range of voices—including those of consumers and communities—are heard in our decision-making processes.

The Group is independently chaired by Jamie Silk and now comprises 31 members appointed for a two-year term. The Group will next meet on 6 August 2025.

We’re proud to be expanding the Group’s representation to include a wider range of consumer and community interests, helping us better respond to the evolving needs of the electricity sector.

The Advisory Group runs alongside the work of the Security and Reliability Council and various technical working groups.
