UTS consultation extended; cross-submissions welcomed

The Electricity Authority is extending the submission deadline on its preliminary decision on whether an undesirable trading situation occurred following 16 February 2024 and will allow further time for cross-submissions on the initial feedback.

The decision follows an industry participant’s request for an extension to the submission deadline and additional time for cross-submissions.

The Authority considers the issues raised in the preliminary decision are complex and nuanced. In these circumstances an extension to the submission deadline and inviting cross-submissions will assist the Authority in reaching a final decision.

The submission deadline is extended to 5pm on 19 June 2024, followed by a two-week consultation period for cross-submissions which closes at 5pm on 3 July 2024.
