Thanks to everyone who joined our May quarterly update on Wednesday 28 May.
Our Chief Executive, Sarah Gillies, opened the session with an update on the Authority’s work and focus.
Sarah outlined the significant delivery in the quarter and thanked stakeholders for their continued engagement with the Authority.
“We are keeping up delivery on our really ambitious programme of work – with the focus on consumers - who want and need an affordable and reliable supply of electricity.
“All the different pieces of work that we're putting out, and all the decisions we are making all come back to those things. We hope clearly visible this in consultation papers and decision papers, engagement activities and a new security of supply snapshot,” said Gillies.
Staff provided updates on:
- The Power Innovation Pathway, including two new initiatives for support
- The Energy Competition Task Force work programme progress including the proposed vision and roadmap for unlocking industrial demand flexibility.
- Consumer Care Obligations and compliance updates
- Security of supply and market impacts for 2025 including a new thermal fuel dashboard to track the availability of thermal fuel (gas, solid fuel and diesel) for electricity generation.
