Power Innovation Pathway
Innovators encouraged to apply for Power Innovation Pathway
- Innovation
We’ve opened the second priority round of the Power Innovation Pathway to encourage innovation in Aotearoa for the benefit of electricity consumers.
The Pathway is open year-round for general support, but successful applicants from this priority round will join the Authority’s enhanced support programme, offering tailored support and regulatory guidance.
Priority applications are open from Monday 29 September to Friday 31 October 2025.
The Pathway is the Authority’s ‘open front door’ for innovators – big and small – wanting access to information and support to bring fresh ideas to market and deliver long-term consumer benefits.
Now in its second year, the Pathway helps innovators understand and navigate the rules and regulations. It also builds the Authority’s understanding of emerging opportunities and barriers, to enable more effective and adaptive regulation.
