Consultation
This consultation sought feedback on a proposed notice under the Code to require all participants who operate an electronic platform on which standardised super-peak electricity contracts are available for trade to regularly provide the Electricity Authority with trade data.
This will build on existing voluntary data-sharing arrangements. It aims to ensure legal certainty and timely publication of hedge market information to enhance transparency, support market confidence and improve competition.
We will consider all submissions before making a final decision, which we expect to publish in early 2026. Thank you to all who provided feedback.
