Network Services Technical Group

The Network Services Technical Group provides independent advice on potential Code amendments to improve network connection processes, strengthen network visibility, and support consumer choices over how they use and manage their load and distributed generation.

Role

The Network Services Technical Group, established in March 2026, provides independent advice to the Electricity Authority on:

  • efficient network connections, including the processes before and after connection
  • improving network visibility
  • supporting consumer choice over how they use and manage their load and/or distributed generation, and how networks can better facilitate those choices.

Members

The group is made up of 16 members, appointed to represent a broad array of expertise in the electricity industry. Each member is appointed for a two-year term from 6 March 2026.
