This note is not part of the amendment but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This amendment to the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 ("Code") comes into force on 1 June 2024. The amendment amends Part 6A of the Code to insert a new definition of "connected generation", revoke the definition of "total capacity" and replace the references to "total capacity" with references to "connected generation" so that Part 6A applies to all generation technology, including non-rotating generation technologies such as batteries.
