Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Clarification of Trader Obligations) 2023

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the amendment but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This amendment to the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (the Code) comes into force on 31 October 2023.

The amendment amends clause 11.8 and clause 17 of Schedule 11.1 of the Code, by insetting "identifier" after "ICP" in a number of places, to clarify that the relevant Code obligations are those of the trader responsible for the ICP identifier. These amendments are intended to address circumstances where there are two traders trading at an ICP. The Authority considers that these amendments are technical and non-controversial as they do not change the meaning of, or the rights and obligations imposed under, the relevant clauses.
