Exemptions from the Code for 2025

  • Code
  • Compliance

This year, the Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko approved 11 exemptions and three exemption amendments from obligations in the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (Code).

An exemption provides a participant with release from an obligation in the Code for a specified period.

The Authority may grant an industry participant with an individual exemption from the Code, under certain circumstances.

All exemption requests are assessed on an individual case by case basis. We have the power to grant exemptions to the Code on any terms or conditions that we consider are reasonably necessary.
