Join us for a one-hour webinar as we talk through the Authority’s proposed rule changes to support more efficient connections to electricity distribution networks.

The webinar provides an overview of the proposals in two recently released consultation papers that aim to remove barriers for manufacturers, housing developers, EV charge point operators and other large energy users wanting to connect to the distribution network – or upgrade an existing connection.

One consultation paper focuses on new rules to help rebalance connection pricing so those wanting to connect don’t face such high up-front costs. We’ve also suggested a new rule to guard against increasing reliance on up-front connection charges.

The other consultation paper focuses on improving the application process between distributors and those wanting to connect – making it easier, faster, more consistent and more equitable.

The webinar is intended for electricity distribution businesses, and also businesses, investors and developers wanting to connect to electricity networks.

It aims to support those preparing submissions, particularly those less familiar with the topics.
