Members appointed to the Security and Reliability Council

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko has appointed four members to the Security and Reliability Council.

Following a call for nominations and candidate assessment, we have made the following appointments:

  • André Botha
  • Karen Frew
  • Ben Gerritsen
  • Phil Gibson

The appointments are for three-year terms, effective from 1 April 2024.

The Security and Reliability Council provides independent advice to the Electricity Authority on reliability of supply issues, and on the performance of the electricity system and system operator. Their next meeting is on 23 May 2024.
