Network Services Technical Group: call for nominations

  • Distribution
  • Code

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko wants to realise long-term benefits for consumers by supporting the effective operation of networks, enabling efficient processes that support network connections, and promoting flexibility solutions.

We’re evolving the Network Connections Technical Group to advise us on a broader set of projects that will improve network services. The refreshed Terms of Reference will re-name the group the ‘Network Services Technical Group’, and the group will seek expertise from industry on:

  • efficient network connections, including the processes leading up to and following connection
  • improvements to network visibility
  • consumer choices over use and management of load and/or distributed generation, and improvements to how networks can facilitate those choices.

We are currently looking for new members from industry (distributors, distributed generators, retailers) and access seekers (such as technical or connection process consultants, developers, commercial connectors, charge point operators, distributed generation owners/operators, etc).

Please use this nomination form and send your membership nomination to distribution.feedback@ea.govt.nz by 5pm, 10 February 2026. See the Call for nominations for more detail on the expertise we seek.
