Submissions from Code review published

  • Code

The Electricity Authority received 11 submissions on our fifth Code review programme. Thank you to all submitters for taking the time to let us know your views on our consultation.

We will carefully consider the feedback received on 23 proposed changes to the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010. We then intend to release a decision paper with our next steps in late 2023/early 2024.

Once the decision paper has been released, we will issue a notice in the New Zealand Gazette with the approved Code amendments and each effective date.

We regularly review the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 to ensure it is kept up to date as New Zealand’s electricity system evolves. The Code review programme #5 consulted on a set of changes to the Code to support the efficient operation of the electricity system.
