The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko has published submissions on its Code amendment omnibus #5 consultation.

We consulted on three amendments to the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 to:

  • Extend trader default provisions to all retailers to protect customers
  • Introduce a back-up means of calculating wholesale prices to improve market confidence.

We would like to thank the eight submitters for taking the time to send us your feedback:

  • Electricity Retailers’ Association of New Zealand
  • Genesis Energy
  • Mercury Energy

  • Major Electricity Users’ Group
  • New Zealand Steel
  • Octopus Energy
