Authority extends deadline for feedback on distribution connection pricing and processes consultations

  • Distribution
  • Code

Those wishing to make a submission on either of our two consultations about connecting to the distribution network now have an extra fortnight to submit their feedback.

On 25 October the Authority released the Distribution connection pricing proposed Code amendment and the Network connections project – stage one consultation papers with a six-week consultation period.

We received requests from market participants for more time to respond, so we have extended the consultation period to eight weeks. Submissions are now due by 5pm on Friday 20 December.

We will publish submissions on Monday 23 December to allow for cross-submissions. The period for cross-submissions will close at 5pm, Friday 24 January 2025.

Please clearly highlight any confidential information in your submission and provide a publishable version alongside the full version of your document. This will enable the cross-submission process to begin as soon as possible.

We also welcome verbal submissions during the consultation period.

For any questions, please get in touch with the team at connection.feedback@ea.govt.nz
