Call for nominations for the Distribution Connection Pricing Technical Group

  • Distribution
  • Code

We’re calling for nominations for up to two new members for the Distribution Connection Pricing Technical Group. This group works to ensure stakeholder knowledge is captured in our connection pricing work and assists with testing potential Code amendments.

As part of our work on distribution pricing reform, we are working with industry and stakeholders to develop a Code amendment on connection pricing. It is important that connection pricing is set at an efficient level. Efficient connection pricing will help access seekers and distributors to optimise their investments, resulting in better network utilisation and lower costs to consumers over the long-term.

Establishing rules for connection pricing would align New Zealand with comparable jurisdictions to ensure efficient network access arrangements. The technical group will help us ensure options are workable and practical in the New Zealand setting.

Read our call for nominations and make a nomination by completing and returning this nomination form to distribution.pricing@ea.govt.nz by 5pm, 17 June 2025.
