Decision on TPM improvements and consultation extension

  • Transmission
  • Code

In May 2023, we consulted on minor changes to the new transmission pricing methodology (TPM) to address some technical issues identified by Transpower.

Following our consultation, we’ve decided to amend Part 12 of the Code to correct 9 of the 10 issues.

We have decided to seek further feedback on issue 5. We are providing supplementary information and welcome submissions by 19 July 2023. Issue 5 is: Allow Transpower more flexibility in the calculation of regional Net Private Benefit under the price-quantity method for BBC allocation.

We look forward to receiving your feedback.
