Investigations into alleged breaches by South Pacific Energy

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko has opened two investigations into alleged breaches of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (Code) by South Pacific Energy Ltd.

The clearing manager reported the breaches alleging that on 20 December 2024 (2501SPEL1) and on 27 February 2025 (2502SPEL2) South Pacific Energy did not complete payment of its settlement amount by the 1pm deadline or meet its obligation relating to prudential requirements by the 4pm deadline.

If any participant considers it is affected by the alleged breaches and wishes to join the investigations, please contact the appointed investigator by 5pm, 20 May 2025.
