New GM Corporate and Market Services

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Herring as its General Manager, Corporate and Market Services from 30 October 2023.

Mark joins the Authority from Transpower where he is currently Markets and Business Group Manager, Operations.

Mark, who has also worked for the UK’s National Grid, brings strategic experience, stakeholder management skills and an extensive industry background to the role.

The Authority undertook a robust recruitment process, supported by independent advice, which attracted several high calibre applicants who were passionate about working for us.

The General Manager, Corporate and Market Services replaces our Chief Operating Officer position. We would like to thank Shaun Ferris for his leadership over the last seven months as acting Chief Operating Officer.
