We had a great turnout at our latest online quarterly update on Wednesday 22 July. Thanks to all those who tuned in.

Our Chief Executive, Sarah Gillies, opened the session by reflecting on the past year’s achievements and the progress made to give consumers more choice and greater control over how they use and manage electricity.

Sarah spoke about recent decisions that will enable more consumers to access time-of-use pricing. This will help households take advantage of lower electricity prices during off-peak periods. She also highlighted new requirements that support fairer rates for customers who export electricity back to the grid.

She then spoke about the Authority’s new strategic objectives. These provide a clear direction of travel while providing the flexibility to respond to a rapidly changing operating environment. As the sector evolves, the strategy needs to be adaptable so we can continue to respond effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities.
