Code review programme #7
Decision
We have decided to implement 13 of the 14 proposals in this consultation and all typographical and drafting corrections to improve the clarity and effectiveness of the Code. We have decided not to proceed with the proposal to clarify that several points of connection may be recorded under a single ICP identifier.
We also intend to make four additional minor amendments which were not part of the proposed corrections included with the consultation paper. Under section 39(3) of the Electricity Industry Act, these do not require consultation, but a draft of these amendments is published in the decision paper.
Twelve of the Code amendments will take effect on 1 September 2026. One amendment will take effect on 30 October 2026.
We would like to thank all submitters who provided feedback on the proposed amendments.
