Call for nominations for the Electricity Authority Advisory Group
- Consumers
- Policy
The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko is calling for nominations to the Electricity Authority Advisory Group (EAAG).
The EAAG provides independent advice on the Authority’s work programme and how it impacts consumers and stakeholders.
We are seeking members with a diverse mix of expertise and experience across the electricity sector and related fields - such as regulation, markets, economics, consumer impacts and system operations - who can provide independent, informed advice on our work programme.
We invite nominees to complete and return the nomination form by Wednesday 27 May 2026 to info@ea.govt.nz.
All nominations will be considered against the membership criteria set out in the EAAG Terms of Reference.
Group members are appointed for two-year terms. A number of current members’ terms are ending on Monday 30 June 2026, and new appointments will run until 30 June 2028.
The following principles guide how members operate:
- Members opt in or out of projects based on their expertise. Not all members need to participate in all activities.
- Members contribute as individuals, not as representatives of their organisation or the sector.
- The group brings a range of views and perspectives. This diversity supports robust, independent advice to the Authority.
- Appointments are for a two-year term.
- The group operates in line with its Terms of Reference.
