Deadline extended for feedback on Task Force work programme

  • Generation

On 15 December 2025 the Energy Competition Task Force published an open letter to stakeholders seeking feedback on potential competition-based issues in the electricity sector that could be used to assist the development of its 2026 work programme.

The letter discusses some issues and potential projects that stakeholders may want to comment on. However, feedback is welcome on any other issues the Task Force could focus on to ensure the best outcomes for competition and for New Zealand consumers.

We have extended the deadline for feedback from 30 January to 5.00pm Monday 9 February 2026. Please consider the letter and send your thoughts to levelplayingfield@ea.govt.nz with ‘Feedback on Task Force open letter’ in the subject line by 5.00pm Monday 9 February 2026.
