Promoting competition in the wholesale electricity market in the 100% renewable electricity transition
Consultation
From 12 October to 14 December 2022, we consulted on ways to promote competition for the long-term benefit of consumers in the 100% renewable electricity generation transition. We would like to thank all stakeholders who provided a submission.
We released our decision paper on this consultation on 12 May 2023. We will progress nine actions (and invite other agencies to consider progressing a further six actions) to support the evolution of the electricity market to support competition in the transition in the long-term interest of consumers. A summary of the actions is listed in Chapter 7 of the decision paper.
