Quantitative Analyst opportunity

We’re recruiting for a Quantitative Analyst to join the Monitoring team at the Electricity Authority.
If you’re interested in providing insights into the electricity market and have strong technical and analytical skills, this role could be perfect for you. Applications are open until Sunday 26 November 2023.
Our Monitoring team analyses data and undertakes simulations to assess and measure competition, reliability and efficiency in the energy sector. They investigate market events, evaluate regulatory change, create real-time tools to monitor market conditions and provide technical support to other teams.
Electricity has a key role to play in achieving New Zealand’s climate ambitions and the Authority is committed to supporting the transition to a low-emissions energy system. Our work is varied and diverse, with opportunities to drive change across the electricity sector to improve the lives of New Zealanders.
