Call for nominations: Switch and Data Formats Group

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko (Authority) is calling for nominations for our Switch and Data Formats Group.
This group reviews and advises the Authority on switching processes and the exchange of information between industry participants to ensure they remain efficient and fit for purpose as the industry evolves.
Over the past few months the group has provided advice on a range of Authority projects eg, multiple trading relationships and switching processes, retail market monitoring, and digitalisation.
We are looking to broaden the group by up to three new members. Membership currently comprises of representatives from retailers, distributors, metering equipment providers, industry software vendors, researchers and other industry participants.
We are seeking applications from those with knowledge and experience relevant to:
- the switching process
- the reconciliation process
- the EIEPs as they currently stand
- existing and potential methods of communication between participants
- existing and potential methods of communication between participants and service providers
- existing and potential methods of communication between participants and consumers or third-party providers.
We're also interested in applications that could improve retailer representation on the group.
If you believe you fit the above criteria, please complete and return a nomination form to digitalisation@ea.govt.nz by 5pm, 1 July 2025.
